John MacMurchy
A master of clarinet and saxophone, John MacMurchy delivers an honest, expressive jazz experience. With an international career and collaborations spanning legends like Henry Mancini, Cleo Laine, Eartha Kitt, Guido Basso, Linda Ronstadt and a host of R&B stars, his performances are filled with heart, depth, and exceptional musicianship. He is a musician/composer and has released four full length records to critical acclaim and international airplay. John was born and raised in Collingwood before leaving to be one of Toronto’s most sought after R & B artists. How lucky are we that he has now come back!
Danny McErlain
One of the busiest players in Toronto, pianist Danny McErlain brings craftsmanship, versatility, and a sensitive touch to every setting, from an intimate house party to the stage of Carnegie Hall. Choosing to serve the song and the occasion has won him favour in many circles – jazz, classical and the theatre. Musicians praise his adaptability and extensive repertoire, singers his accompaniment for its elegance and nuance. A musical director and arranger, Danny conducts two Toronto area choirs, the Queen’s Park Civil Service Choir and The Ambiance Singers, and provides rehearsal piano and accompaniment for a wide range of artists. Danny studied jazz at Humber College and is a graduate of the Royal Conservatory of Music.
Peter Telford
Peter Telford has been playing the double bass professionally in the Toronto area for 35 years. He has performed with jazz musicians Bob Mover, Bernie Senensky, Brian Dickinson, Diana Krall, Don Thompson, Adrean Farrugia, Grant Stewart, Kirk MacDonald, Eddie Higgins, Jane Bunnett, Reg Schwager, Barry Harris and Mark Eisenman, among many of Canada’s finest musicians.
