Kick off Theatre Collingwood’s Porchside Festival with a joyful Canada Day celebration unlike any other!

Join us for Oh Canada, Oh Erica! — a heartwarming afternoon of music, laughter, community spirit, and celebration as we honour Theatre Collingwood’s Executive Director, Erica Angus, on her 65th birthday in true Canadian style.

Set against the beautiful backdrop of Bud & Sue Christensen’s Farm in Duntroon, this relaxed outdoor gathering invites you to bring your lawn chair, dress in your favourite red and white, and enjoy an uplifting afternoon of live entertainment featuring beloved Canadian classics, surprise guest performances, and birthday cake for all!

Headlining the celebration is the incredible Fred Smith — a renowned musician, guitarist, producer, and performer whose remarkable career spans more than 40 years. Fred has performed alongside legendary artists including The Supremes, Ben E. King, The Drifters, Gary U.S. Bonds, Leslie Gore, The Mamas and the Papas, and many more. Known for his smooth vocals, masterful guitar playing, and engaging stage presence, Fred brings a truly unforgettable energy to every performance. In addition to his live performance career, Fred has worked extensively in television and film production, contributing to projects including House of Cards, Umbrella Academy, Murdoch Mysteries, Titans, and Son of a Critch.

This special Porchside Plus event is more than a concert and birthday party — it’s also an opportunity to support Theatre Collingwood’s vibrant future and especially the annual Porchside Festival.
