Mary of Shanty Bay

October 5th. – 8th.
By Leah Holder
From Theatre by the Bay
Location: Simcoe Street Theatre, Collingwood

This beautiful and historical story was created from the diaries of Mary Sophia Gapper, who visited Canada in 1828, married Edward O’Brien, and then settled at the ‘edge of the world’ in Oro Township. This is a heartwarming examination of a part of our regional history and the settlement of Shanty Bay.
