Sample Itinerary: Pre-show Harbour Tour & Matinee

11:00 a.m.    Visit the unique shops in Downtown Collingwood

12:00 p.m.    Lunch at Gustav’s gourmet Chophouse

2:00 p.m.      Enjoy a Theatre Collingwood performance at one of our partner locations

Frequently Asked Questions About Groups

Groups save $5.00 per ticket compared to our regular ticket price. We also waive Service Charges for Groups! However, all tickets are subject to HST.

You can make a group reservation by calling (705) 445-2200 or 1-866-382-2200 and speaking with one of our seasoned representatives.  You can also come and visit the Box Office in person between the hours of 10am-5pm, Monday through Friday, OR you can e-mail info@theatrecollingwood.ca  for more information!

Groups require a minimum of 10 attendees in order to qualify for special rates and perks.  A deposit of $100 is required to reserve seats for a performance (a $200 deposit is required in the case of a group package booking).  Reservations can be adjusted up until 30 days prior to your scheduled performance date, at which point payment in full is required.  Once payment is received in full your tickets will be released to you for distribution.

No, we request that the transaction be made in one payment per group order.

Group tickets may be exchanged for another date (minimum of one week’s advance notice) for a handling fee of $2.50 per ticket.  Subject to availability.

Groups are seated in reserved sections based on your date of booking. Reserve early to ensure priority seating! All venues are wheelchair accessible.

No, groups can be split into as many different pairings and sat throughout the theatre in any preferred way.  Subject to seating availability.

As we did in 2019, our productions in 2020 will be presented at different regional venues that are fully accessible and comfortable, with plenty of parking for everyone, including busses. It is our hope that your group will want to experience each unique location and join us for multiple shows this year! Motor coach unloading/loading is available in front of each performance venue. Please advise if you are coming by bus and we will recommend where the bus driver may park.

For performances in Collingwood at Simcoe Street Theatre and First Presbyterian Church, the downtown area can be very busy midday, therefore your group should allow plenty of time for parking. Public parking is available on surrounding streets and municipal parking lots; Accessed from St. Marie Street (one block east of Hurontario St. /one block north of Ontario St.). There is also a large lot located on Pine Street (one block west and one block north).

Parking on Hurontario Street is currently $1.00 per hour (maximum of 3 hours). Metered street parking and parking in the municipal lot is currently $0.75 per hour (no maximum).

Anyone displaying a valid Accessible Parking Permit or having a valid Ontario Veteran License Plate is exempt from paying to park in any municipal parking area. The Town of Collingwood offers FREE municipal parking on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays, as well as after 6:00 p.m. during the week.

Yes, Theatre Collingwood can suggest a number of fabulous options for lunch or dinner at one of our local restaurant partners. Many of them offer a fixed price menu for Groups. Additionally, Theatre Collingwood has a “Dine and Play” program through which several local restaurants will offer you a percentage discount off of your meal when you present your ticket for a same-day performance.  Please see the ‘Restaurants’ section of our website for a list of participating restaurants.

We know that Groups are looking for great getaways. In addition to our unique theatre venues, there are many things to experience in our area: award-winning wineries on the escarpment, breweries just a stones-throw from downtown, boat tours in the harbour, scenic caves and trekking adventures, art galleries, historic sites and a museum to explore, excellent dining, spas and, boutique shopping that’s second to none!
